Merry Christmas everyone, I'll see you all on the other side of 2004 (no more updates till then, I'm flying back home to Northern Ireland tomorrow). But I'd appreciate a few comments between now and then... ;)

Riverrun

This was shot inside the Gravity Bar at the Guinness Storehouse. It's the end of the tour, where they give you your free pint. If we didn't have other stuff to see and do then I could stay up here all day long. You get a huge 360 degree panoramic view of Dublin in floor to ceiling glass.

Waterfall Alt

This is an alternate angle of yesterdays shot in the Guinness Storehouse. If I had a choice I wouldn't have had the line of the water so high, but as I said yesterday I didn't fancy getting the tripod out so I had to rest the cam on the edge of the water and use the timer function.

This is the first sight that greets you when you enter the tour of the Guiness Storehouse in Dublin. It's really dark inside and quite loud, but there was too many people around for me to whip out the tripod. So instead I rested the cam on the edge of the water, which turned out quite nice (if a little dark).

The Roof

This is the roof of the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin taken from inside the building. I like contrasty B&W's (as I'm sure you can tell).

This is one of the photos I took on a day trip to Dublin last week. It was taken in the Guinness Storehouse as I travelled along the escalator.

Gran Turismo Iniezione

This is my favorite of the past few car shots, still a little blurred but not bad. I need to practice with my new toy. It's a suction pad camera mount, basically a tool for lifting sheets of glass that has a camera mount added to it. It's almost perfect but it could be doing with a damper somewhere in the system to iron out the tiny vibrations from the car. But that would probably get expensive...

When I eventually get myself organised I'll take a setup shot and link to it.

Ok, yesterday I posted my entry to FujiMugs Transport challenge yesterday (which I came 4th out of about 72 entries I think, yay!), I thought I'd post the other car shots in the sequence they were taken. This particular one was one of my first set-up test shots. It's late and night and the car is filthy, but it proved the technique. Speaking of the technique, I'm wondering if it's obvious how I took this. Taking the exposure info into account of course... Add your guesses below ;) I'll spill the beans at the end of this series (in about 2 or 3 more days).

No Map, No Problem

I've been bursting to post this and a few other pics I've taken over the last couple of weeks for the
FujiMugs transport challenge, but because the rules don't allow posting anywhere until after the results I have had to wait.

I've got about 3 or 4 of these to post so hold onto your hats folks! (Sorry, I had to say that, I went to Dublin yesterday and the guide on the open-top tour bus kept saying it! Dublin photos to follow).
