Auroville is a small community which has been set up just outside Pondicherry. I'll let you read the blurb in the link, but basically it's a group of people from all sorts of nations all over the world who want to live in a place without religion but with respect for others. Unfortunately the only day we could go was a Sunday so a lot of it was closed, but we did get to see this place - the Matrimandir and Amphitheatre. There was some work going on to repair the Matrimandir so we didn't see it in it's full glory.

The landscape is great. I like the lighting, colours and the way the stones lead the viewer into the pic.
Are the golden lotuses being removed from the Matri Mandir. Two years back they covered the entire structure.
